Good morning gang and welcome back to Saturday's Singles, a Birthday edition. First up under our needle is the song "Little Lies" by British-American rock band, Fleetwood Mac. Their bassist, and co namesake, John McVie, is celebrating his 77th Birthday today. Happy Birthday John ! He was born in 1945 in Ealing, Middlesex, England and is best known for his work in  John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers and Fleetwood Mac, which he joined shortly after it's formation by  Peter Green and Mick Fleetwood. "Little Lies" was released August 1987 on the Warner Brothers label. The song was written by Christine McVie and Eddy Quintela and then produced by Lindsey Buckingham and  Richard Dashut. Hailing from their 14th album, Tango in the Night, the tune reached #22 in South Africa, #21 in Austria, #16 in Australia, #14 in Belgium and on the Mainstream Rock charts, #13 in Canada, #10 both the Dutch Top 40 and the Netherlands Top 100, #9 in New Zealand and on the Cash Box, #5 in the UK, #4 in Ireland and on the Hot 100, #3 in Finland and West Germany, #2 on the Canadian Adult Contemporary charts, and #1 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary charts. It's flip side is "Ricky", a non album track.

Our second set of candles belongs to Anna Mae Bullock, best known by her stage name, Tina Turner. She is celebrating her 83rd Birthday. Happy Birthday Tina ! She was born in 1939 in  Brownsville, Tennessee, and started her career as the lead singer of the Ike and Tina Turner Revue. After a tumultuous marriage to Ike, she got divorced and went solo and became a superstar in part due to songs like this one. "Private Dancer", the title track to her 5th studio album, was released October 28, 1984 on the Capitol label, written by Dire Straits guitarist,  Mark Knopfler, and produced by John S. Carter, Jr. It peaked at #30 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary charts, #26 in the UK, #21 in Australia, #20 in West Germany, #14 in Ireland, #11 in Canada and Finland, #7 on the Hot 100, #6 in Spain,  #5 in Belgium and New Zealand, #4 on both charts in the Netherlands, #3 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. It is b/w the track, "Nutbush City Limits (Live)".
