First up on our candle celebration calendar is Chicago born  singer, songwriter, record producer, and R&B/ New Jack Swing artist, Jody Watley. She is celebrating her 62nd Birthday today. Happy Birthday Jody. Her single, "Real Love" was released March 18, 1989 on the MCA label and produced by André Cymone. The tune, hailing from her second studio album, Larger Than Life, reached #31 in the UK, #4 in South Africa, #2 in Canada and on the Hot 100, and #1 on both the Hot R&B Singles and  Hot Dance Club Play charts. Our second set of Birthday wishes goes to London born drummer, singer, songwriter, and record producer, Phil Collins, who is celebrating his 70th Birthday today. Happy Birthday Phil ! His song, "One More Night" was released November 30, 1984 on the Atlantic label and produced by Phil Collins and Hugh Padgham. It's parent album was Phil's third, No Jacket required. The single reached #4 in Zimbabwe, in the UK, Ireland, and on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, #2 in Australia, and #1 in Canada, the Hot Adult Contemporary Tracks, and the Hot 100. It's B-side is "The Man with the Horn", a non album track.
