SATURDAY'S SINGLES : OAKTOWN'S 357 and SALT-N-PEPA

Good morning shut ins, recluses, hermits and the like and welcome back to Saturday's Singles, A 12 Inch Edition. Up first on 12" 45 R.P.M. is the 1989 MC Hammer produced single, "Yeah, Yeah, Yeah" by female rap group, Oaktown's 357. The members,  Sweet L.D. (Suhayla Sabir), Lil P (Phyllis Charles), and Terrible T (Tabatha Zee King-Brooks) were formerly backup singers for MC Hammer. The song, a #9 on Billboard's  Hot Rap Singles chart, hails from their debut album,  Wild & Loose. It reached 126 on the Billboard 200. As mentioned earlier, we have the 12" version with the following tracklist :

Our second 12", this one on 33 R.P.M., is "Expression" by another trio of female rappers, Salt-N-Pepa (Salt (Cheryl James), Pepa (Sandra Denton), and DJ Spinderella (Deidra Roper). "Expression" peaked at #40 in the UK, #28 on the Hot 100, and #8 on the R&B charts. It's parent album is  their third, the Platinum selling, Black Magic, reached #38 on the Billboard 200.
