Good mourning goblins and trolls and welcome back to Saturday's Singles, an All Hallows Eve edition, as we continue our Sinister, Spooktacular Countdown of Sound Until Halloween. With one more day to go we pulled another treat out of our bag with this 1984 Arista hit for Ray Parker, Jr., "Ghostbusters". The song, written and produced by Parker, from the movie of the same name (starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, Rick Moranis, and Annie Potts) was an international hit, clenching the top spot in Canada, South Africa, Spain, the Hot 100, and the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts. The tune has been certified Gold. It's B-side features an instrumental version of the track.

Our second Single comes from the second Ghostbusters movie. "On Our Own" by Bobby Brown was released in 1989 on the MCA label. It was written by L.A. Reid, Babyface, and Daryl Simmons and then produced by Reid and Babyface. It reached #1 in Germany, New Zealand, the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and the Dance Sales chart. It has been certified Platinum in the US. Our copy is the 12" version, with the following track list :
