STUCK IN THE VINYL AGAIN - BEE GEES - HERE AT LAST ... BEE GEES ... LIVE

Good morning, morning people and welcome back to the Thursday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl again . Yesterday brought us the extremely sad news that English rock guitarist, Jeff Beck (June 24, 1944 – January 10, 2023) had passed away at age 78, after contracting bacterial meningitis. Our Hearts, Thoughts, and Prayers go out to his Family, Friends, and Fans. May he rest in peace.

Today's record commemorates the 20th anniversary of the passing of another British musician, singer songwriter, and producer, Maurice Gibb, best known for his work with his Brothers Barry and Robin in the pop/disco/soft rock trio the Bee Gees. Maurice was born in Douglas, Isle of Man to parents, Hugh Gibb, a drummer, and his wife Barbara. He is a fraternal twin to his Brother Robin. He passed away on January 12, 2003, age 53 from complications of a twisted intestine. With him in mind, we spotlight the Brothers Gibb's first live album, the double record, Here at Last... Bee Gees... Live. The LP was recorded December 20, 1976 at The Forum, in Los Angeles, California and was then released May 1977 on the RSO label and produced by the Bee Gees, Albhy Galuten, and Karl Richardson. It peaked at #45 in the Netherlands, #44 in Germany, #25 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, #8 in Australia and on the Billboard 200, #5 in Canada, and #1 in New Zealand. It has been certified Platinum in the US. We have two copies.
