STUCK IN THE VINYL AGAIN - BOBBY SHERMAN - GETTING TOGETHER

Good Monday morning gang (if you believe in such things) and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we chose a random record for our spotlight, and that record just happens to be : Getting Together by singer, actor and occasional songwriter, Bobby Sherman. The LP was released in 1971 on the Metromedia label and produced by Ward Sylvester. It peaked at #71 on the Billboard 200. The tracks, "Jennifer" (#60 Hot 100) and "Waiting At The Bus Stop" (#54 Hot 100) were released as singles. The record also served as the soundtrack for Bobby's short lived spin off of The Partridge Family, also called Getting Together, which starred Sherman and Wes Stern as Bobby Conway and Lionel Poindexter, a songwriting duo, based on the songwriting duo, Boyce and Hart. The album features a  spinning wheel on the inside cover, that when turned shows a different photo in the television on the front. After entertainment Bobby became a paramedic and a sheriff's officer. He is now age 77, and lives in Encino, where he and his Wife run the Brigitte & Bobby Sherman Children's Foundation.
