Today we joyfully celebrate the 68th Birthday of Yvette Marie Stevens, known the world over as the Queen Of Funk, Chaka Kahn. Happy Birthday Chaka ! Her fifth solo album, I Feel For You, was released October 1, 1984 on Warner Brother Records and produced by Arif Mardin, Robbie Buchanan, John Robie, Russ Titelman, David "Hawk" Wolinski, James Newton Howard, David Foster, Humberto Gatica, and Joe Mardin. It reached #16 on the Billboard 200, #15 in the UK, and #4 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. Four singles were released off of the 10 song album ; the title track (#1 Ireland, the UK,  Hot Black Singles, and  Dance Club Songs) , "This Is My Night" (#60 Hot 100, #14 UK, #7 Ireland, #11 Hot Black Singles. #1Hot Dance Club Play) , "Eye To Eye" (#!6 UK, #12 Ireland) and "Through The Fire" (#77 UK, #60 Hot 100, #16 Adult Contemporary, #15 Hot Black Singles) . Guest on the LP include Steve Lukather, Michael Sembello, Stevie Wonder, Grandmaster Melle Mel, Steve Porcaro, and David Foster.
