STUCK IN THE VINYL AGAIN - CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL - LIVE IN EUROPE

Good morning audiophiles and welcome to another Sunday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we wish a very Happy 76th Birthday to California born bassist and Rock and Toll Hall Of Fame member, Stu Cook, best known for his long time work with swamp rock band Creedence Clearwater Revival. CCR released their first live album, Live In Europe, on October 16, 1973. The double LP had been recorded on tour in support of the band's final studio effort, Mardi Gras. The Fantasy records release reached #143 on the Billboard 200 and #72 in Australia. It is notable, for the fact, that the band is a trio now, consisting of John Fogerty, Stu Cook, and Doug Clifford, as John's Brother, Tom Fogerty, had recently left the band. It's also worth noting that this same CCR trio, started their careers together as The Blue Velvets, after meeting each other in high school. I suppose, Live In Europe, can be viewed as a reunion and a full circle kind of moment in musical history. By the way, this album came to us recently has part of a lot that was gifted to us by our Cousin Becky. Thanks Cousin Becky !
