STUCK IN THE VINYL AGAIN - DEAN MARTIN - EVERYBODY LOVES SOMEBODY

Good Tuesday morning to you all and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. It was on this day in 1917, that Dino Paul Crocetti, better known to you and I as singer, actor and comedian, Dean Martin was born in Steubenville, Ohio, to Italian father Gaetano Alfonso Crocetti and Italian-American mother Angela Crocetti . Today Dean would have celebrated his 105th Birthday but his life was cut short on  December 25, 1995 by acute respiratory failure resulting from emphysema. He was 78. We honor his legacy by spotlighting his second compilation, Everybody Loves Somebody. The LP was released August 4, 1964 on the Reprise label and produced by Jimmy Bowen. It was thrown together after the success of the title track (#12 Australia, #11 UK, #1 Adult Contemporary, Cash Box, Hot 100), using B-sides and unreleased tracks. Despite that, it managed to peak at #2 on the Billboard 200 and gain Gold certification.
