Good morning Thursday people and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we are thrilled to wish English rock and blues guitarist, singer, and songwriter, Eric Clapton, a very Happy 78th Birthday. Happy Birthday Eric ! He was born in 1945 to parents, Patricia Molly Clapton and  Edward Walter Fryer and is known for his work in the bands in The Yardbirds, Cream, Blind Faith, John Mayhall, and Derek and the Dominoes. The latter is our subject of sound today. Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs was released November 9, 1970 on the Atco label and produced by  Tom Dowd with the group. The record peaked at #16 on the Billboard 200. It has been certified Platinum in the U.S. and Gold in the UK and Canada. Two singles were released ;"Bell Bottom Blues" at #78 on the Billboard Hot 100and "Layla" at #10. During the recording of the album Eric Clapton and Duane Allman met and as a result of that meeting, Allman appears on 11 of the 14 songs. We also have a Korean bootleg version of this LP, that I'll  include pictures of for a contrast of the two.
