STUCK IN THE VINYL AGAIN - DREGS - UNSUNG HEROES

Good morning Wednesday warriors and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we find ourselves celebrating the 67th Birthday of guitarist Steve Morse, known for founding jazz rock fusion band, the Dixie Dregs, early in his career, and later known for his work with Kansas and Deep Purple. Happy Birthday Steve ! With him in mind, we spotlight the 5th studio album by the Dixie Dregs, who were using the moniker Dregs at the time. Unsung Heroes was released 1981 on the Arista label and produced by Morse. The LP peaked at #67 on the Billboard 200 and received a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Instrumental Performance that same year. The album is instrumental, features a album cover photo of the band with no mouths and is called Unsung Heroes. (Think there's a theme.) In addition to Morse, the outfit also boasts drummer, Rod  Morgenstein, who would go on to play with Winger.
