Good morning audiophiles and welcome back to the Thursday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember Greg Allman, Tennessee born vocalist, guitarist, pianist, and along wit his Brother Duane, founding member of Southern Rock band, The Allman Brothers, on this, the 4th anniversarsary of his passing. He died in 2017, age 69, from complications of liver cancer. He is severely missed. For your listening enjoyment, we have this 1972 Bold Records release, Duane & Greg Allman ( the typo in Gregg is not mine) by Duane & Gregg Allman. It seems in their early days the Brothers joined a group consisting of Scott Boyer on  acoustic guitar and vocals, David Brown on bass, and Butch Trucks on drums. They were called 31st Of February. They released one album without the Allman's and then recorded a demo with them, that became this record. It was recorded in Hialeah, Florida in 1968 and produced by Steve Alaimo. It is notable for having the first version of "Melissa".
