STUCK IN THE VINYL AGAIN - FATHER VINCENT E. SMITH - LOVE, FATHER

Good morning, Sunday people and welcome to the Father's Day 2022 edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we bring you a bit of local fare with this record by Father Vincent E. Smith from St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Winter Haven, FL. Father Smith was the pastor of the parish there for 11 years (1970-1981). The album, called Love, Father was recorded and produced by Happy Face Productions who were basically the husband and wife duo, The Happy Faces (Charlie and Ruby) . I cannot find this particular album on Discogs but can find another one called P.S. Love, Father, so I'm assuming it came after this one. There is no date on the release as well, but I'm assuming it was in the 70s because Father Smith passed away in December of 1981. On it we hear Father Smith pour through stirring renditions of "Danny Boy", "Ava Maria" "Aura Lee" and others. Accompanying the Father is Bob Hager on guitar, Earl Hulme on piano, Mildred Hrezo on organ. Bill Potthast is responsible for the front cover photo.
