STUCK IN THE VINYL AGAIN - FLIP WILSON - YOU DEVIL YOU

Good morning gang and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. On this day in 1975, Cher got her very own variety show on CBS television, appropriately titled Cher. Her first guests were Elton John, Bette Midler and this guy, comedian and actor,  Flip Wilson. Flip was a good choice for a new show, considering he had hosted his own, The Flip Wilson Show, from 1970-74. With that in mind, we spotlight Flip's 5th comedy album, You Devil You. You Devil You, was released in 1968, on the Atlantic label and produced by  Monte Kay and Nesuhi Ertegun. It features his subtle but largely non offensive style of humor.
