STUCK IN THE VINYL AGAIN - FRANK ZAPPA & THE MOTHERS OF INVENTION - TRANSPARENCY

Great Monday morning gang and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we wish a Happy 80th Birthday to former bassist/vocalist, Roy Estrada, best known for his work in Little Feat, Captain Beefhart's Magic Band, and the Mother's Of Invention. He is currently incarcerated in Texas as a sex offender, but as I've said before, even criminals get Birthdays on this page. With him on on minds, we find this compilation album from Frank Zappa & The Mothers Of Invention, Transparency, turning on our table. The LP was released in 1975 on the Polydor label as a sampler after the company took over distribution of the Verve catalogue and reissued those albums. It collects tracks from Absolutely Free, We're Only In It For The Money, Cruising With Ruben & The Jets, Lumpy Gravy, and Freak Out ! .
