STUCK IN THE VINYL AGAIN - GENESIS - FOXTROT

Great Monday morning Gang and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we celebrate two Birthdays as yesterday was the 73rd Birthday of English guitarist, Steve Hackett, and today is the 73rd Birthday of his fellow and former bandmate, Peter Gabriel. Happy Birthday guys ! To get their party started, we spotlight Genesis'  fourth studio album, Foxtrot. The LP was released October 6, 1972 on the Charisma label and was produced by Dave Hitchcock and Genesis. It reached #45 in Germany, #15 in France and Italy, and #12 in the UK. The progressive album's lead track, "Watcher of the Skies", was released as a single. It takes it's name from John Keats' 1817 poem "On First Looking into Chapman's Homer". The disc's closer,  "Supper's Ready" is a seven part song clocking in at 23:06, making it the longest Genesis song committed to tape.
