Good morning record enthusaists and welcome back to the Tuesday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again. On this day in 1995, Gloria Estefan became the only pop artist to perform for the Pope when she serenaded  Pope John Paul II on the celebration of his 50 years of Priesthood. To mark the occasion we spotlight the 10th studio album by Gloria Estefan and Miami Sound Machine, Let It Loose (Anything For You on European pressings). Let It Loose was released June 2, 1987 on the Epic label and produced by Emilio & The Jerks ( Emilio Estefan, Jr., Lawrence Dermer, Joe Galdo, and Rafael Vigil). It peaked at #55 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, #16 on the Latin Pop Albums chart, #6 on the Billboard 200, and #1 in the UK. Five of the LP's 10 tracks were released as singles, as noted (*) below :
