Good morning faithful readers and welcome back to the Thursday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we are thrilled to celebrate Newark, New Jersey native, and singer songwriter, Gloria Gaynor, as she celebrates her 80th Birthday. Happy Birthday Gloria ! She was born Gloria Fowles on September 7, 1943 to parents, Daniel Fowles and Queenie Mae Proctor. During her 6 decade career she has released twenty studio albums, two live albums, ten compilation albums, and 49 singles, but it is her seventh studio album, I Have A Right, which is our subject sound today. The disco/dance LP was released September 24, 1979 on the Polydor label and produced by  Dino Fekaris and Freddie Perren. It peaked at #58 on the Billboard 200, #56 on the R&B album charts, and #34 in Sweden. The album's sole single, , "Let Me Know (I Have a Right)" reached #95 in Canada, #61on the R&B charts, #42 on the  Hot 100,  #36 in the Netherlands, and #32 in the UK.
