Good morning Wednesday warriors and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we joyfully celebrate the 86th Birthday of California born multi Platinum recording artist, trumpeter, painter, sculptor, and record company executive, the man who put the "A" in A&M, Herb Alpert. Happy Birthday Herb ! Herb's 32nd studio album, Keep Your Eye On Me, was released February 13,  1987 on A&M and produced by  Herb Alpert, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Les Pierce, Roy Bittan and Shelly Yakus. It peaked at #18 on the Billboard 200 and #16 on the Contemporary Jazz Albums chart. Three singles were released from the 10 track disc ; The title track (#46 Hot 100, #19 UK, #3 R&B), "Diamonds" (#47 Australia, #27 UK, #5 Hot 100, #1 R&B) and "Making Love In The Rain" (#35 Hot 100, #21 Adult Contemporary, #7 R&B). The latter two feature Janet Jackson and Lisa Keith on guest vocals and the song, "Pillow" features Herb and his Wife, Lani Hall, on vocals.
