STUCK IN THE VINYL AGAIN - HSAS - THROUGH THE FIRE

Good morning Friday people and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. We hope you all are well in health and high in spirits. Today we travel back to this date in 1986 when vocalist Sammy Hagar played his first gig with Van Halen in Louisiana . In lieu of a live recording of that performance or even Hagar's first album with them (5150 was released 2 days prior to this gig) we bring you The Red Rocker with some other guys. Those other guys being lead guitarist Neal Schon (Journey), bassist Kenny Aaronson (Foghat) and drummer Michael Shrieve (Santana), the sugergroup known as HSAS (Hagar Schon Aaronson Shrieve ). They released one album, partially live, Through The Fire, on Geffen Records in 1984. It was produced by Sammy Hagar and Neal Schon. A single was released, "Whiter Shade of Pale", a cover of the Procol Harum classic, and it  reached #93 on the Billboard Hot 100.
