Good morning faithful readers and welcome back to the Friday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we joyfully celebrate the 73rd Birthday of Boston born singer-songwriter and guitarist, James Taylor. Happy Birthday James ! His first greatest hits album, called Greatest Hits, was released November 1976 on the Warner Brothers label and produced by Peter Asher, David Spinozza, Lenny Waronker, and Russ Titelman. It peaked at #67 in Australia, #27 in Canada, and #15 in America, where it has been certified 11X Platinum (or 1X Diamond + 1X Platinum, if you prefer). It is Taylor's most successful album to date. The material covers the years 1969-1976 and features re-recorded versions of  "Carolina in My Mind" and "Something in the Way She Moves", and a previously unreleased live version of "Steamroller". Among the guests on the tracks are  David Crosby, Andrew Gold, Randy Meisner, Joni Mitchell, Graham Nash, Herb Pedersen, and James' former Wife, Carly Simon.
