Today we wish 57 year old  rapper, producer, DJ and TV personality, and practicing minister, Joseph Simmons, aka Reverend Run of Run-DMC, a very Happy Birthday. To get the day started, we find ourselves spinning this 1985 PRI Records compilation album, Jammin'. The LP collects top hip hop and rap groups from the mid 80s, such as the Fat Boys, Run-D.M.C., LL Cool J, the Sugarhill Gang, and more. The versions are the original 12" versions.
