STUCK IN THE VINYL AGAIN - JOHNNY WINTER - NOTHIN' BUT THE BLUES

Good morning record enthusiasts and welcome back to the Thursday edition of Stuck In  The Vinyl Again. Today we remember Beaumont, Texas born singer, guitarist, and producer, Johnny Winter (John Dawson Winter III), on what would have been 79th Birthday. He was born in 1944 to parents John Dawson Winter Jr. and Edwina Sawson and some two years after he was born they had a second child, Edgar, who would grow up to become a legendary blues musician and frequent collaborator with his Brother, Johnny. During the coarse of his 5 decade career, Johnny released over 20 records, but it is his 8th studio album, Nothin' But The Blues, that is our subject of sound today. The LP was released August 1977 on the Blue Sky label and produced by Johnny Winter. It peaked at #146 on the Billboard and features Muddy Waters, who Winter had been working with at the time. Our copy is a white label Demonstration Not For Sale, copy, that we purchased years ago at the now Legendary J.R.'s Junk Trunk.
