Good morning Wednesday warriors and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we gleefully celebrate the 71st Birthday of former Journey front man, Steve Perry. Happy Birthday Steve !  With him in mind, we present their fifth studio album, Evolution. Evolution was released  March 23, 1979 on the Columbia label and produced by Roy Thomas Baker. It peaked at #20 on the Billboard 200, #35 in Canada, and #36 in Sweden. The disc gave birth to three singles ; "Just the Same Way" (#58 Hot 100, #80 Canada) , "Lovin', Touchin', Squeezin'" (#16 Hot 100, #12 Canada) , and "Too Late" (#70 Hot 100) . It has been certified 3X Platinum is the US. It was the first Journey album to feature drummer Steve Smith, who replaced drummer Aynsley Dunbar. In addition to Steve Perry's Birthday, it is also my lovely Wife's Birthday. Happy Birthday Lynn !
