Good morning, morning people and welcome back to the Thursday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember New York native, musician, songwriter, and poet, Lou Reed (Lewis Allen Reed), best known as the voice of the Velvet Underground, as well as his solo stuff,  on this, the 9th anniversary of his passing. He died in 2013, age 71, from liver disease. To honor his legacy, we spotlight his 4th solo album, Sally Can't Dance. The LP was released August 1974 on the RCA label and produced by Steve Katz and Lou Reed. It peaked at #18 in the Netherlands, #14 in Australia, and #10 on the Billboard 200. It's sole single is the title track, "Sally Can't Dance" which reached #103 on the Hot 100. The guitarist on this record is Danny Weis, who was the original guitarist in Iron Butterfly. He was replaced with 17 year old Erik Braunn. Weis was also a founding member of the band Rhinoceros and his bandmate, Michael Fonfara, plays keyboard on the Reed album as well. Velvet Underground bassist, Doug Yule, joins Lou on the last track, "Billy".
