Good morning Wednesday warriors and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today's record of choice, Living With The Animals, is the debut album by eclectic blues rock band, Mother Earth. Living With The Animals was released in 1968 on the Mercury label and produced by Barry Goldberg. It peaked at #144 on the Billboard 200. The LP boasts a variety of sound, combining blues, rock, gospel, r&b, jazz, country and psychedelia. The outfit is fronted by female vocalist, Tracy Nelson, who would go on to release another three albums with Mother Earth and 18 solo efforts. Mike Bloomfield guests on the disc under the name Makal Blumfeld.This copy was purchased earlier this year at Treasure House Antiques & Collectibles.
