STUCK IN THE VINYL AGAIN - PETER FRAMPTON - BREAKING ALL THE RULES -

Good morning Thursday people and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we celebrate the 71st Birthday of English multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and producer, Peter Frampton. Happy Birthday Peter ! Peter released his 7th studio album, Breaking All the Rules,  on May 14, 1981 on the A&M label. The LP, produced by Frampton, David Kershenbaum, Chris Kimsey, and Harvey Goldberg, peaked at #89 in Australia, #43 in Canada, and #42 in America. The title track, co- written by Procol Harum's lyricist Keith Reid, was the disc's sole single, reaching #12 on the Mainstream Rock Charts. It's an interesting album, full of the large 80s production and features two members of Toto, Steve Lukather on guitar, and Jeff Porcaro on drums. At times it comes across as a mixture of Genesis and The Police, while at other times you can hear a little Steely Dan.  It even features a cover of The Easybeats' "Friday on My Mind".
