Good morning Wednesday warriors and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we are overjoyed to wish New York native, singer songwriter, and guitarist, Peter Yarrow, a very Happy 85th Birthday. Happy Birthday Peter ! Born in 1938, Peter is the son of  Ukrainian Jewish immigrants, Vera Wisebrode and  Bernard Yarrow. Musically, he is one third of the folk trio, Peter, Paul and Mary and their third album is currently turning on our table. In The Wind was released  October 1963 on the Warner Brothers label and produced by Albert Grossman. It peaked at #11 in the UK, and in both Canada and the US. Three singles saw the light of day ; a cover of Bob Dylan's  "Blowin' in the Wind" (#52 Germany, #25 Canada, #13 UK, #11 Australia, #2 New Zealand, Hot 100, #1 Adult Contemporary), "Don't Think Twice, It's All Right" (#56 Australia, #15 Canada, #9 Hot 100, #5 Canada, #2 Adult Contemporary), and "Stewball" (#89 Australia, #35 Hot 100, #21 Canada, #17 Adult Contemporary). Dylan wrote the liner notes. Our copy is still in it's Sears and Roebuck plastic sleeve.
