Today we remember Pennsylvania born vocalist, producer, and actress, Joni Sledge, best known for her work in the sister vocal group, Sister Sledge, on what would have been her 66th Birthday. She was born in 1956 and passed away March 10, 2017, age 61, from "natural causes". Sister Sledge released their 3rd album, We Are Family, January 22, 1979 on Cotillion Records. It was produced by Chic members  Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards. The LP reached #45 in New Zealand, #37 in Australia, #33 in the Netherlands, #7 in the UK, #4 in Canada, #3 on the Billboard 200, and #1 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. The singles were :
