STUCK IN THE VINYL AGAIN - SOUTHSIDE JOHNNY & THE JUKES

Good morning Wednesday warriors and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we celebrate the 68th Birthday of Jersey based guitarist, composer, producer, arranger and engineer Billy Rush, best known for his work with Southside Johnny & The Asbury Jukes (and later Southside Johnny & The Jukes). Happy Birthday Billy ! To mark the occasion, we spotlight the third album by Southside Johnny & The Jukes, In The Heat. The LP was released in 1984 on the Mirage label and produced by Billy Rush and John Lyon. The band which has seen several incarnations through the years with close associations with Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi, is described sometimes as new wave or Jersey shore sound, but honestly they are just good old fashioned straightforward rock and roll and a delight to listen to.
