Good Monday morning gang and welcome to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we celebrate the 73rd Birthday of drummer, vocalist, and sometimes keyboardist John "The Chief" Seiter, best known for his work early on in sunshine pop band, Spanky & Our Gang, and later for replacing  John Barbata on drum in The Turtles, in time for their last record, Turtle Soup. Happy Birthday "The Chief" ! With him in mind, we spotlight the third LP by Spanky & Our Game.  Anything You Choose B/W Without Rhyme Or Reason was released in 1969 on the Mercury label and was produced by Bob Dorough and Stuart Scharf. It peaked at #101 on the Billboard 200 and birthed 4 singles ; "Give A Damn" (#43 Hot 100), "Yesterday's Rain" (#94 Hot 100), "Anything You Choose" (#96 Hot 100), and  "And She's Mine" (#97 Hot 100). Although I can;t find any evidence that this is two EPS, I find the title curious and the sides are marked Side 1 and Side A. Shortly after recording this album, lead guitarist Malcolm Hale died and the band broke up.
