Good morning Sunday people and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we remember Welsh singer, musician, and A&R executive, Spencer Davis, on what would have been his 83rd Birthday. He passed away October 19th, 2020, from pneumonia, age 81. He is known primarily for founding The Spencer Davis Group, whose original run lasted from 1963–1969. After their first break up, Davis moved to California and teamed up with guitarist/vocalist Peter Jameson, to record an acoustic album called It's Been So Long. The LP was released in 1971 on the Mediarts label and produced by Jay Senter. On it,  Davis and Jameson take turns on vocals and 12 string guitar duties. If the record charted or any singles were released, I can find no evidence, but the duo did land a tour opening up for Poco. The sides are divided as One Side and Another Side.
