STUCK IN THE VINYL AGAIN - SUPERTRAMP - PARIS

Good morning record enthusiasts and welcome back to the Friday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we wish Scottish musician and bassist, Dougie Thomson, best known for his work in the progressive rock band Supertramp, a very Happy 72nd Birthday . At the same time, we wish his bandmate and singer songwriter, Roger Hodgson, a belated 73rd Birthday, as he celebrated his on Tuesday (March 21st). Happy Birthdays guys ! With them in mind, we spotlight Supertramp's first live album. The double disc album Paris, was recorded November 29, 1979 at the  Pavillon de Paris, in Paris, France and then released  September 1, 1980 on the A&M label. It was produced by Peter Henderson and Russel Pope. Three singles were released ; "Dreamer" (#44 France, #39 Australia, #31 Netherlands, #15 Hot 100, #1 Canada) , "Take the Long Way Home"  (#53 Germany, #32 Netherlands) , and "Breakfast in America" (#62 Hot 100).
