STUCK IN THE VINYL AGAIN - THE BEATLES - THE BEATLES AT THE HOLLYWOOD BOWL

Good Tuesday morning to you all and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we remember English guitarist, singer songwriter, and producer, George Harrison, on this, the 21st anniversary of his passing. He was born February 25, 1943 and died from lung cancer, age 58. With him in mind, we spotlight the second live album by the Beatles, The Beatles at the Hollywood Bowl. The record consists of excerpts from three concerts, the first one recorded August 23, 1964 and the latter two from August 29-30, 1965. The LP was later released May 4, 1977. The original recordings were produced by Voyle Gilmore and then mixed and sequenced by George Martin. The disc reached #24 in Italy, #18 in Finland and New Zealand, #17 in Sweden, #12 in Australia, #10 in West Germany, #8 in Canada, #4 in Norway, #3 in Austria, #2 on the Billboard 200, and #1 in Japan. It has been certified Platinum in the US. This album was purchased within the last couple of years, right here in Lakeland at Jesse Carl Vinyl.
