STUCK IN THE VINYL AGAIN - THE MOTHERS OF INVENTION - BURNT WEENY SANDWICH

Good Monday morning fellow quarantiners and welcome back to the stack of wax known as Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember vocalist/guitarist, Lowell George, known for his work early on with Frank Zappa's Mothers Of Invention, and later as the frontman of swamp rock band Little Feat, on what would have been his 75th Birthday. He died from a heart attack, in 1979, brought on by an accidental cocaine overdose. He was 34. To honor his legacy, we spotlight the 6th studio album by the Mothers Of Invention, Burnt Weeny Sandwich. Burnt Weeny Sandwich was released February 9th, 1970, on the Bizarre/Reprise label and produced by Frank Zappa. It reached #94 on the Billboard 200, and spawned a sole single, "WPLJ", a cover of the 50s R&B band, The Four Deuces. The LP consists of studio recordings mixed with live elements.  The album came with a triple fold full color poster of the cover, but sadly ours no longer contains said poster ....

2. "Igor's Boogie, Phase One" 0:40
