Good morning gang and welcome to the return of Saturday's Singles. This week we thought we'd break out a couple of what we consider oddities or curiosities within our singles' collection as we have little opportunity to showcase them. We start with 45 from Xerox Education Publications, Mr. Pig And Sonny Too was released in 1978 and based on the children's book of the same name by author Lillian Hoban, released a year earlier. In the story we find the characters Mr. Pig and Sonny as they find ways to exercise including ice skating, hiking, cooking greens for dinner, and attending a wedding. Lillian Hoban was born May 18, 1925 and is known for the 326 works she created, most of them with her husband, writer Russell Hoban. She passed away July 17, 1998, age 71, from heart failure.

Our second selection is Tuffy Tooth And The Mystery Of The Missing Smile. This is a sound sheet released by Eva-Tone Soundsheets and the Colgate - Palmolive Company in 1970. It tells the tale of Marsha and her missing smile and the subsequent search for it. It plays exceptionally well for a 53 year old carboard and plastic record.
