Dark Clouds Rain Down Tears Washing Away Swirling Colors From The Clown's Face..

My Thoughts On The Passing Of Robin Williams

It's now been 24 hours since the cold hard truth of Robin Williams' death, caused the world to cry out "NO!" in unison. Losing a talent like him, who inspired, captivated,  and brought so much joy to the masses is a heartbreaking moment regardless of the cause of death. That being said when suicide is revealed to be that cause it adds a weight of extra emotion and leaves so many wondering how could this happen. Many of us have dealt with or know   someone who has suffered from addiction, depression and suicidal thoughts and/ or actions. There are a lot of dark places our minds and souls can find themselves in. Yesterday morning I woke up and thought that my problems of the day seemed impossible to overcome. By this time last night I was humbled and thankful to see my problems did seem to have solutions, thankful I was alive and my Family doing well.  I could see  the light at the end of the tunnel. I guess Mr. Williams couldn't and that breaks my heart in ways I cannot describe. Lost most of us I did not know him but when I was watching him I felt like he must know me because I and others could see ourselves in him,  and relate to the characters he brought to life, for us. Laughter is a gift from Heaven. I think we all can agree that is apt when describing Mr. Robin Williams. My heart and Prayers go out to the Family. I thank God for the short time we had with him.

These are just a few of my favorites.

Depression and addiction is no joke. It doesn't discriminate and in some cases, such as this, it's lethal. Having been through bouts of depression, my wish is that it would be recognized and treated as the disease it is and would not be stigmatized. It amazes me that with so many around him, no one recognized the signs. The world has lost a gem, and I pray that his family is able to find peace and closure in a very painful time. Thanks for the post, Maggot, it's a beautiful tribute.
