A chance encounter at a recent Texas rodeo turned into a life-changing experience for two families. According to a Facebook post last month by Charity Robinson, her special needs son approached a man in the bleachers during the recent event, prompting an interaction that left her in tears.
She took a picture of the smiling man engaging her smiling son and shared the personal reason such a seemingly mundane event meant so much to her.
Almost immediately, the pieces of this puzzle began falling into place. Social media users shared Robinson’s story, ultimately leading to the identity of the man in the photo. The very next day, Robinson and her family took the 45-minute trip to see Jason Taylor again – this time in his capacity as pastor of Bar None Cowboy Church in Henderson. The grateful mother told IJReview: “Through the post we were able to reconnect with that stranger and attended his sweet church this morning and hear his preaching and he actually shared the story about meeting Linc and had him up on stage with him.”
She continued to chronicle the aftermath of this unusual series of events, expressing her joy over the support she has received and the blessing her story has been to other mothers in her situation.
Robinson noted that at least one local news outlet is going to interview her son for a special feature. http://www.westernjournalism.com/a-mom-couldnt-stop-crying-when-her...
