Good Monday morning gang and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we remember founder, lead singer, bassist, primary songwriter, Lemmy Kilmister, from the British heavy metal band Motörhead, on this, the 5th anniversary of his death. He passed away in 2015, age 70, four days after his Birthday and two days after being diagnosed with cancer. He is severely missed. To honor his legacy, we spotlight Motörhead's first live album, No Sleep 'Til Hammersmith. The LP was released June 27, 1981 on Mercury Records and produced by Vic Maile. It peaked at #28 in New Zealand, #27 in Sweden, #24 in Norway, #12 in Germany, and #1 in the UK, where it has been certified Gold. It's only single, "Motorhead", reached #6 in the UK. This copy was bought a couple of years ago at Jesse Carl Vinyl.
