Good morning my victims, err, I mean guests, and welcome to the Halloween 2020 edition of Saturday's Singles. First up under the weight of our needle and a blue moon, is "Halloween", the 1985 Polydor release of Dutch Jazz songstress, Denise Jannah. Our copy is a 12" 45 RPM Maxi single, pressed in Germany, according to the label. It features the tune, "Lady Sensible" on the B-side. This was not released in the US and as far as I can ascertain, it not not chart overseas. I don't know why, she has a beatiful voice and the music is very chill and relaxing. This copy, very recently came from the last of the Legendary J.R.'s Junk Trunk's stock.
A Halloween 4:02
B Lady Sensible 3:10
Denise Jannah - vocals
Mastered By – Picco Poccorni
Written-By – Mick Hannes, Walter Gerke

Our second sinister and spooktacular single comes to us via Chicago based industrial band Ministry. This 12" 33 RPM single was released in 1984 on Wax Trax records. The internet lists "All Day" as the A side and "(Every Day Is) Halloween" as the B side, but for our purposes, we're gonna pretend B is A, A is B. I can find no evidence that either track charted. Both of these songs have a more of a synth pop sound, as opposed to an industrial vibe. The Mrs. purchased this a couple of years ago at Jesse Carl Vinyl.
A All Day 5:51
B Everyday (Is Halloween) 6:35
Al Jourgensen – vocals, instrumentation, production
Brad Hallen – bass (“All Day”)
Stephen George – drums (“All Day”)
Patty Jourgensen – backing vocals (“All Day Remix”)
