Good morning gang and welcome to the return of Saturday's singles. today we observe the 16th anniversary of the death of iconic actor Christopher Reeve. He passed away in 1994, age 52, from cardiac arrest. He is severely missed. He was my generation's Superman (maybe yours too) . He played Krypton's favorite son in four films. Today our selections play tribute to that.

Our first single is "Man Of Steel" by country music great, Hank Williams Jr. The song was released  February 18, 1984 on the Warner Brothers/Curb labels, and peaked at #4 on the Canadian Country charts and #3 on Billboard's Hot Country charts. It was  produced by Jimmy Bowen and Hank Jr. It's the title track to his thirty-sixth studio album and features, "Now I Know How George Feels" (featuring George Jones) as it's B-side.

Our second super single is "Sunshine Superman" (#4 Australia, #2 UK, #1 US) by Donovan. The tune was released  July 1, 1966 on the Epic label and produced by Mickie Most. It was the title track to his third record and our copy is a double A side, featuring "Mellow Yellow" (#8 Australia, UK - #2 US) on the flip side.
