Good morning gang and welcome back to Saturday Singles, the Number Ones Edition. From deep inside the Stuck In The Vinyl Again Coronavirus Quarantine Bunker in Central Florida, we bring you two tunes that took the top spot on this day, in their respective years. First up, under the needle is the #1 hit song "Billie Jean" by Michael  Jackson. "Billie Jean" was released January 2, 1983 on the Epic label and produced by the white gloved wonder himself, along with Quincy Jones. It hailed from his iconic album Thriller and reached #1 in Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Ireland, Italy, Spain Switzerland, the UK, the Hot 100, the Hot Black Singles chart, and the Cash Box. It's B-side is "Can't Get Outta The Rain".

Our second #1 is "Rock Me Amadeus", by  Austrian musician Falco. The tune was released on June 16, 1987 on the  A&M label and produced by Bolland & Bolland. It came from his full length album,  Falco 3  and peaked at #1 in Austria, Canada, Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, the UK, the Hot 100, and the Cash Box. Our copy has "The American Edit" on side A and "Canadian Version" on the flip side.
