Good morning gang and welcome to the return of Saturday's Singles, perhaps the most eclectic music page on all of the internet. That is nowhere more apparent than today's paring. First up, we remember American singer and television host, Tennessee Ernie Ford, on this , the 49th anniversary of his death. Liver failure claimed his life at age 72, in 1991. To honor his legacy we spotlight the 1955 Capitol Records release, "The Ballad Of Davy Crockett". The non album track, written by George Bruns and Thomas W. Blackburn, peaked at #4 on the US Country charts and #5 on the pop charts. It's B-side is "Farewell".

Sing For The Moment was released on Aftermath, Shady, and Interscope records and peaked at #14 in the US, #5 Australia, Germany, #3 in Ireland, and #2 in Canada.
