To commemorate the date we spotlight the first Beatles release in America, Introducing The Beatles. The LP was released January 10, 1964 on the Vee Jay label and produced by Sir George Martin. It peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200 and has been certified Platinum in the US. Four singles were released ; "Please Please Me" (#3 Hot 100, Cash Box, #2 UK), "Twist and Shout" (#2 Hot 100, #1 Cash Box, New Zealand) , "Do You Want to Know a Secret" (#3 Cash Box, #2 Hot 100, New Zealand), and "Love Me Do" (#1 Hot 100, Cash Box, New Zealand, Australia, #17 UK).
