Good morning audiophiles and welcome back to the Thursday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today our record of choice is the third studio album from New Jersey based bubblegum pop band, 1910 Fruitgum company. Good Goody Gumdrops was released in 1968 on Buddah Records and produced by Jerry Kasenetz, Jeff Katz, Billy Carl, and Reid Whitelaw. The album itself did not chart, but the title track reached #37 on the Hot 100. The LP sees the quintet comprised of Mark Gutkowski on rhythm guitar and vocals, Chuck Travis on lead guitar and vocals, Rusty Oppenheimer on drums/vocals, Larry Ripley on bass, horns, vocals, and Brue Shay on percussion/vocals, serve up the syrupiest songs bubblegum pop can deliver. We purchased our copy a few years back at Lakeland's very own Jesse Carl Vinyl.
