Good Monday morning gang and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember guitarist and composer, Glen Buxton, known for his work in Alice Cooper (the band, as opposed to Alice Cooper, the man) on this, the 23 anniversary of his death. He passed away in 1997, age 49 of complications from pneumonia. To honor his legacy, we spotlight the band's sophomore effort, Easy Action. Easy Action was released March 27, 1970 on Frank Zappa's Straight label and produced by David Briggs. The record's psychedelic edge failed to impress both fans and critics, so the LP nor it's singles, "Shoe Salesman" and "Return of the Spiders" failed to chart. None of the songs have ever been played live , with the exception of "Return of the Spiders". Despite it's lackluster chart performance, I think it's a solid record.
