STUCK IN THE VINYL AGAIN - ALLAN SHERMAN - MY SON, THE FOLK SINGER

Good morning, morning people and welcome back to the Friday edition of Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember  comedy writer, television producer, singer, actor, and song parodist, Allan Sherman, on this, the 47th anniversary of his death. He passed away in 1973, age 48, after suffering lung disease, just ten days short of his 49th Birthday. We take a look and a listen to his debut album,  My Son, the Folk Singer. The record was released in 1962 on the Warner Brothers label, where it shot to #1 one Billboard's Top LP chart. It was recorded live before a audience at " a big expensive Hollywood Party!"
