Great Monday morning gang and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again . Today we are celebrating  Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma, native, guitarist, songwriter, and vocalist, Neal Schon, as he celebrates his 69th Birthday. Happy Birthday Neal ! He is best known as founding member, guitarist, and the only consistent member of the rock band Journey, and a former member of Santana and the supergroup Bad English, with fellow members Jonathan Cain (Journey The Babys) ,  singer John Waite (The Babys, solo) , bassist Ricky Phillips (Styx, The Babys, Coverdale-Page, Ted Nugent) , and drummer Deen Castronovo (Ozzy, Journey). Their self titled debut album is our subject of sound today.

Bad English was released June 26, 1989 on the Epic label and produced by Richie Zito. It peaked at #74 in the UK and #21 on the Billboard 200. Six singles were released from the 13 track album ; "Forget Me Not" (#45 Hot 100, #2 Mainstream Rock), "When I See You Smile" (#61 UK, #11 Adult Contemporary, #10 Mainstream Rock, #12 Hot 100), "Price of Love" (#80 UK, #38 Adult Contemporary, #30 Mainstream Rock, #5 Hot 100), "Best of What I Got" #9 Mainstream Rock),  "Heaven Is a 4 Letter Word" (#66 Hot 100, #12 Mainstream Rock), and "Possession" (#42 Adult Contemporary, #21 Hot 100). The LP has been certified Platinum.
