Today we remember beloved singer, musician, actor, and author, Burl Icle Ivanhoe Ives, better known as Burl Ives, on this, the 26th anniversary of his death. He passed away in 1995, age 85, from mouth cancer. Today we turn our collective ear towards his 1969 album, Burl Ives' Folk Songs And Stories. The LP was released on Columbiathrough their Columbia Book And Record Library, and contains four tracks told in a fashion that only Burl can deliver.
