Good morning vinyl enthusiasts and welcome back to Stuck In The Vinyl Again. Today we remember country music legend, actor and television host Eddy Arnold, on what would have been his 102nd Birthday. The son of a sharecropper turned music sensation, which garnered him the nickname, The Tennessee Plowboy, passed away in 2008, age 89 from natural causes. Today we bring you his 16th studio album, The Last Word In Lonesome. The LP was released in 1966 on the RCA Victor label and produced by Chet Atkins. It shot all the way to the top of the Country Albums chart and crossed over to land at #46 on the pop charts. The album's sole single, "The Last Word In Lonesome Is Me" reached #2 on the Country Singles chart, #40 on the pop charts, #9 Adult Contemporary, and #43 in Canada.
